The All-Canadian Jazz Festival is held in the picturesque, historic town of Port Hope. Port Hope's antique and specialty art shops, cheerful cafes, pubs and restaurants draw thousands of tourists each year. The Ganaraska River, renowned for the best trout and salmon fishing in Ontario, flows through the downtown core. In May 2002, TV Ontario's Studio 2 recognized Port Hope's Walton Street as the 'Best Preserved Main Street in Ontario'.

More accommodation is available in Cobourg, just 10 minutes east from Port Hope. For further information on area accommodations and services, see the Northumberland Tourism website.
